Here are the turkeys that my kindergartners are making for the Thanksgiving feast on Monday. Of course, I got the idea from Pinterest! What would a teacher do without that website?
This is the turkey that my Kinders made this past week. The "feathers" are made from a coffee filter. I had the kids color it with markers, then we sprayed it with water so the colors would bleed.

We have been learning all about scarecrows this week in Kindergarten. We read The Little Scarecrow Boy by Margaret Wise Brown. Our poem is Scarecrow Song (to the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot"). The kids love it and sing it without prompting already. We also made these adorable scarecrows from paper plates. I got the idea from What the Teacher Wants.
